Police said the 42-year-old driver was taken into custody at approximately 10:30 a.m. after a search of his bag revealed six small packets containing a total of 3.2 grams of crystal meth.
Police Investigation and Passenger Safety
Officers stated that the arrest was made as part of standard security checks for vehicles entering Phuket, with passengers and drivers subject to random searches. The bus was en route from Bangkok to Phuket, carrying 28 passengers at the time of the incident.
Following the discovery, police conducted drug tests on the driver, which reportedly returned positive results for methamphetamine use.
