Qiting Lin, 30, was apprehended by Krabi Immigration Police working with Phuket officers and was taken back to Chalong Police Station, where police charged him with attempted murder and remanded him in custody without bail.

CCTV traced suspect to flight bound for Kuala Lumpur
Investigators said Lin fled the scene by car after the stabbing. Police later used CCTV footage to track his movements to Krabi.
Authorities found he had booked AirAsia flight AK867 to Kuala Lumpur. The flight was scheduled to depart at 11:50am on Monday, and officers arrested him at the airport before boarding.
Pol Lt Wisarut Mahachoti, the deputy inspector handling the case, said Lin had not yet given a statement and the motive remained under investigation. He said the family had a history of disputes and investigators believe the violence followed a heated argument.
Doctors later confirmed both victims were in stable condition. The boy has since been discharged, while the mother remains in the ICU at Vachira Phuket Hospital with stab wounds to her neck, back, arms and hands.
