Construction worker dies after machinery accident in Cherng Talay

A 23-year-old construction worker died after a machine pinned his head at a construction site in Cherng Talay, Phuket, police said.

Cherng Talay Police Station received a report of the accident at about 4pm at a project on Soi Surin 8, Moo 3, Cherng Talay.

Police identified the worker as Phetcharchai Inthong, from Surin Province. He was part of the site’s heavy machinery team.

According to the preliminary police investigation, the machinery was being relocated when the accident occurred. Phetcharchai suffered severe injuries and was taken to hospital, where he later died.

Police investigators examined the site and are interviewing witnesses and others involved in the incident. The investigation is being handled by Cherng Talay Police Station, with Pol Maj Nakorn Chatphai serving as the duty investigating officer.
