Gardens of Eden announces Minor Hotels partnership for Bang Tao resort

Gardens of Eden has announced a partnership with Minor Hotels to develop Gardens of Eden Resort Phuket in Bang Tao, bringing what the project describes as Asia’s first Minor Reserve Collection property to the 33-acre development.

The resort is scheduled to open in 2031 and will have 310 keys, comprising 100 hotel rooms and 210 residences operated within the resort’s inventory. The hotel component will be located about 250 metres from the shoreline.

Gardens of Eden is planned as an integrated luxury living and wellness destination, combining branded residences, hospitality, wellness and leisure facilities. The agreement with Amal Group of Companies covers Gardens of Eden Resort Phuket and the Minor Reserve Collection.

A dedicated wellness facility exceeding 5,000 square metres is planned as a central part of the development. Minor International founder and chairman William E. Heinecke said the facility would draw on experience from Minor’s existing wellness operations and could allow collaboration with specialist practitioners and wellness and longevity partners.

“The final combination of brands and expertise remains part of the developing concept,” according to the project announcement.

Gardens of Eden chief executive Alexander Chuvalov said the development had been conceived as a destination where luxury living, wellness and nature come together.

The developer’s presentation outlines a four-phase masterplan linking homes, gardens and leisure areas. It also includes beach access without crossing a road and underground parking, which the team said would preserve above-ground space for landscaping and recreation.
