Cyclist filmed holding onto pickup truck on Phuket’s Thepkrasattri Road
A cyclist was filmed gripping the back of a moving pickup truck on Thepkrasattri Road in Thalang, prompting warnings about the danger to road users.
A cyclist was filmed holding onto the back of a moving pickup truck on Thepkrasattri Road in Phuket, in a dangerous manoeuvre that could put the rider and other road users at risk.
The incident took place on the outbound side of the road near Ban Lipon in Si Sunthon, Thalang, according to a video published on 30 July 2026 by the Phuket-based page โหดจัง จังหวัดภูเก็ต.
The footage shows the cyclist using one hand to grip the rear of the pickup while being pulled along the main road amid other traffic. The page warned: “It’s appeared again! A bicycle holding onto a car on a major road. Don’t do it — it’s dangerous.”
The report said a loss of balance, sudden braking or another vehicle moving into the pickup’s path could result in a serious crash. Social media users who commented on the video also described the behaviour as dangerous and urged drivers and other road users to follow traffic rules and avoid risky actions.
