Four villages in Karon have been designated a flood disaster area in Phuket, according to a report published by The Nation on 2 November 2026.

The designation was listed alongside a Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation warning for low-lying areas in Chon Buri and Rayong. The department said heavy rain, thundershowers and gusty winds were forecast across upper Thailand from 5 to 7 November, with risks including flash floods, runoff from forested areas and waterlogging.

The department said reservoirs nationwide were holding more than 83% of combined capacity, with about 12,671 million cubic metres of storage remaining. High tides between 27 October and 5 November could also affect drainage and riverside areas.
