Phuket forecast to see thundershowers on November 6–7
The Thai Meteorological Department forecasts thundershowers across 60% of southern Thailand’s west coast, including Phuket, with rougher seas in storm areas.
Phuket is forecast to experience thundershowers on November 6–7, with the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) expecting storms across 60% of southern Thailand’s west coast.
The forecast covers Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang and Satun. Temperatures in the area are expected to range from 24–26°C to 32–34°C, with easterly winds of 15–30 km/h.
Waves are forecast to be about one metre high, exceeding one metre offshore and rising above two metres in areas affected by thundershowers. TMD advised mariners in the Andaman Sea to navigate cautiously and avoid areas with storms.
Southern Thailand is expected to receive heavier rain from November 7–13, including isolated very heavy falls, as easterly winds strengthen over the region and the Andaman Sea.
