Phuket has been included in a national flood watch covering September 15–19, 2026, with Thalang, Mueang Phuket and Kathu identified as areas requiring monitoring.

The Office of the National Water Resources warned of possible flash floods, rapid runoff, mudslides and flooding in urban communities where drainage systems may be unable to cope.

The office instructed agencies to monitor weather and water conditions, clear waterways and drainage pipes, prepare personnel and equipment, and issue advance warnings to residents if evacuation becomes necessary.

The warning was issued as the Pa Sak River in Phetchabun reached 7.67 metres and continued rising on September 15. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation separately urged riverside residents in Tat Kloi subdistrict to move belongings, vehicles and vulnerable people to higher ground.
