A woman from Phuket was found dead in a hotel room in Tha Sak subdistrict, Nakhon Sri Thammarat, on the night of April 22, with police now seeking a male suspect. Officers responded to a report at 9:10pm and discovered Kimyong Saisanasin, 31, of Ratsada, Phuket, unresponsive on the bed at the Nuan Khon Hotel.
Evidence and Initial Findings
Kimyong was wearing long jeans and a pink long-sleeved shirt when authorities arrived. Forensic examination revealed bruising inside her mouth and blood marks on her face.
Officials stated the injuries indicated suffocation from pressure applied to the mouth and nose. The case has been classified as an assault resulting in death.
Suspect Identification and Police Actions
Investigators determined Kimyong had checked in at around 11:50am with Wittawat Pantharat, 51, from Wichit, Phuket, who paid for the room. Hotel staff reported Wittawat left alone at 8:56pm on a black Honda Scoopy motorcycle, telling them Kimyong had fainted and asking them to call an ambulance.
Staff entered the room, found her body, and contacted authorities. Police used CCTV and payment records to identify Wittawat as the prime suspect and are seeking a court warrant for his arrest.
The incident was formally recorded at 1:46am on April 23. Officers continue to gather evidence and search for the suspect.
