Rom Pho Property and Tokyo Tatemono to develop 175-room Phuket hotel for 2027 opening

Rom Pho Property and Tokyo Tatemono Thailand will jointly develop VOCO Phuket Bangtao, the first VOCO-branded hotel in Phuket.

Rom Pho Property and Tokyo Tatemono Thailand will jointly develop VOCO Phuket Bangtao, a 175-room premium hotel in Phuket’s Bangtao area that is scheduled to open in 2027. The joint venture was announced on 31 October 2026.

The project will be the first VOCO-branded hotel in Phuket and Tokyo Tatemono Group’s first investment in the province, according to executives from the two companies. Rom Pho Property, whose stock symbol is TITLE and which is part of AssetWise, said the venture would expand its hospitality portfolio and recurring-income business.

VOCO Phuket Bangtao will operate under IHG Hotels & Resorts. Its planned facilities include a restaurant, lounge, bar, swimming pool and fitness centre. The design will combine Sino-Portuguese architecture with contemporary elements and the VOCO brand’s style, the companies said.

The hotel will be located opposite Porto de Phuket in central Bangtao. The developers said the location would provide access to major attractions and Phuket International Airport within 30 minutes.
