Sansiri targets B80 billion Phuket portfolio under five-year roadmap

Thai property developer Sansiri plans to expand its cumulative Phuket portfolio to B80 billion under a five-year roadmap running from 2026 to 2030, with 30 new projects valued at more than B40 billion.

Phumichai Mathayomphopphinyō, managing director of Sansiri’s southern development business, said on 21 July that the company would develop 13 low-rise projects worth B15 billion and 17 condominium projects worth B25 billion.

The company plans to launch seven projects in Phuket during the second half of 2026, in Patong, Sam Kong, Soi 3 in Cherng Talay, Pasak, Bang Jo, Pru Champa and Rawai. The launches will include “The Tales”, described by Sansiri as its first luxury pool-villa project under the brand.

Sansiri said it has developed 11,000 units in Phuket to date, with a total value of B40 billion. Its five-year plan is intended to broaden its presence across the island and target demand for both low-rise housing and condominiums.

Phumichai said Phuket was developing beyond a holiday island into what he called a “Global Metropolitan”, supported by public infrastructure and international connectivity. He cited the planned second phase of Phuket International Airport, which is expected to accommodate 20 million passengers, as well as more than B62 billion in land transport infrastructure, including the Kathu-Patong expressway and tunnel.

According to figures cited by Sansiri, Phuket receives an average of 290 flights a day connecting it with 71 cities in 36 countries. The company also cited tourism revenue of more than B500 billion and B137 billion in planned expansion of Central Phuket.

Sansiri said the island’s property market had total available stock valued at B194 billion, based on figures from the Agency for Real Estate Affairs, and that sales were proceeding at twice the pace of prime Bangkok areas. It also cited 12.9% growth in the luxury-villa segment in the first half of 2026, referencing CBRE and Knight Frank data.

The company said Russian buyers accounted for 31% of its foreign purchases in Phuket in 2025, followed by Chinese buyers at 12%, Israelis at 8%, French buyers at 7% and British buyers at 4%.

Sansiri said it expects rental returns from its Phuket projects to average 8% to 10%.
