Sarawak reaches out to Singaporean travellers — confirmed details at this stage for Phuket readers.

Sarawak reaches out to Singaporean travellers

Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) promoted its travel offerings to Singaporean travellers at the NATAS Travel Fair, held from 27 to 29 March 2026 at the Singapore EXPO. The event aimed to strengthen Sarawak’s position in the ASEAN tourism market and highlighted direct connectivity and curated holiday packages for visitors from Singapore. In 2025, Sarawak recorded 64,295 arrivals from Singapore, a 7.53% year-on-year increase and the highest to date, with a 2026 target set at 69,000.

Partnerships and On-Site Engagement

STB collaborated with EU Holidays Pte Ltd, Meidi Travel Solutions Pte Ltd, and Azza Travel & Tours Pte Ltd at the fair, providing immediate access to Sarawak travel packages and on-site planning support.

Officials said the fair allowed Sarawak representatives to connect directly with outbound Singaporean travellers and travel partners, presenting tailored holiday options and promoting the region’s diverse attractions.

Connectivity and Regional Experiences

Singapore is linked to Sarawak’s main gateways—Kuching, Sibu, and Miri—through direct flights operated by AirAsia and Scoot, enabling streamlined access to Southern, Central, and Northern Sarawak.

Southern Sarawak, accessible via Kuching, offers cultural and natural attractions such as the Sarawak Delta Geopark, Bako National Park, and the UNESCO-recognised food scene. Central Sarawak features river journeys along the Rajang River and visits to traditional longhouses, while Northern Sarawak provides additional adventure and nature experiences.
