버려진 어망에 걸려 푸껫 카론 해변에서 구조된 바다거북이 푸른바다거북으로 확인돼 재활 치료를 위해 해양 구조센터로 이송됐다고 2026년 7월 13일 보도에서 전했다. 어퍼 안다만해 해양·연안자원 연구센터 관계자들은 바다거북이 그물에 걸렸다는 인명구조요원들의 신고를 받고 현장에 출동했다. 인명구조요원들은 동물이 치료를 위해 옮겨지기 전에 다친 바다거북을 그물에서 먼저 풀어냈다. 검진 결과 이 바다거북은 성별이 확인되지 않은 푸른바다거북으로, 등딱지 길이 68cm, 너비 67cm, 몸무게 33kg으로 측정됐다.
