Thalang police seize 1,699 methamphetamine pills in Pa Khlok arrest
Police arrested a 40-year-old Pa Khlok man and seized 1,699 methamphetamine pills during a search in Thalang, Phuket.
Thalang police arrested a 40-year-old man and seized 1,699 methamphetamine pills during a drug investigation in Pa Khlok, Phuket, on Saturday, July 18, police said.
Officers from Thalang Police Station arrested Vanus “Kaew” Yodsri at a house in Moo 4, Pa Khlok, before searching a nearby mangrove forest, where they found the pills.
Police charged Vanus with possession of a Category 1 narcotic, methamphetamine, for sale without permission. Police said the alleged offence was committed for commercial purposes and contributed to the spread of drugs, affecting public safety and national security.
The arrest was made as part of the Royal Thai Police’s “Operation 90 Days” anti-narcotics campaign, which runs from July 1 to September 30.
