Vietnam Airlines launched direct Ho Chi Minh City–Phuket flights on 2 July, with four weekly round trips operated by an Airbus A321.
Vietnam Airlines began direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Phuket on 2 July, offering four round trips each week and removing the need for connections via Bangkok, according to TTR Weekly.
The service operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays using an Airbus A321 configured with 184 seats. Flight time is about one hour and 50 minutes.
Flight VN621 departs Ho Chi Minh City at 16:00 and arrives in Phuket at 17:50. The return flight, VN620, leaves Phuket at 18:45 and reaches Ho Chi Minh City at 20:55.
The Phuket route is part of a wider Vietnam Airlines network expansion that also includes new services linking Vietnam with Amsterdam and Colombo.
